Love is a border across. Life is an ocean across. Culture is an era across. All that woman could do was try to find all three from the other side. Singing her heart out, like a cuckoo on the riverside, she calls out to all those who loved her, and all those who cherished her. The boat must come across, but the boatman asks for a heavy cost. Must the woman pay that price with her life, or can she just choose to be herself first? The rhythms of the past entice her, along with her Tunisian love affair. Oh, what a scandal for all of France to see.
